我记得那年春天，我从一个乡下学校转到了城里的中学。初到这个新环境，everything felt unfamiliar: the curriculum was different, the accent was different, and even the way people played was different. After school, I would be the only one left in the classroom, still rewriting my homework that had been returned to me. The playground echoed with my classmates' laughter; I felt even more flustered as I rubbed out my mistakes and rewrote them again and again. Suddenly, a girl burst into the classroom with a joyful sound of silver bells. She carried a badminton racket in her hand and her face was covered in sweat.

She noticed that I was still struggling with my homework alone and walked over to my desk. With a big smile on her face, she said, "The teacher requires this much effort; let me explain it to you." Then she sat down beside me.

A refreshing breeze carrying a hint of sweat blew towards me like an embrace from childhood. As she explained while writing alongside me, I nodded eagerly without hesitation.

As soon as we finished our work together, I felt an indescribable sense of relief wash over me.

From then on, having yellow shadow water by my side made all the difference for both our studies and social interactions at school. Our friendship blossomed just like those five elements mentioned in Chinese philosophy - wood represents us two friends who are Li Mu Zi (wood) and Xiao Shui Shui (water).

One day after class ended up being just us two working on our homeworks again. Without knowing when exactly it happened , Yellow Shadow Water moved next to me . She held out some apricots saying," My family's apricot tree has ripe apricots for you to try." Taking one of them into mouth biting hard but wrinkling nose , i couldn't help frowning . Yellow Shadow Water smiled sweetly saying," You're afraid they'll be sour? But none are sour at all!"

I envied her as she ate another apricot happily . "Do your trees have many?" "Many indeed! Let's go pick some when you come home."

"That sounds great!" But there was one condition : if he could get into top six students next semester , then he could come along .

Yellow Shadow Water raised an eyebrow playfully . Her tone showed disdain towards his lack of confidence before him .

With determination visible through his eyes , he declared defiantly ,"Who wouldn't dare? ! And so began their friendly rivalry which fueled each other's ambitions till graduation where they both achieved academic success together forever cherishing memories shared during those unforgettable years spent studying side by side under spring breezes blowing gently across campus grounds where friendships blossom like flowers amidst learning experiences shaping their future aspirations beyond high school gates waiting ahead in life journeys yet unknown...
